Meet Mr and Mrs Willems!
Erik and Marrie’s wedding took place at ‘Het Mölke’ in Rijssen, NL.
Why? That’s a nice story. Erik and Marrie met each other at this campsite. Marrie was only 12 years old when they met for the first time. They never stopped writing and calling each other and after several years their relationship started. ‘Het Mölke’ is special in both of their family’s lifes. Marries family even has a mobile home there and stay in Rijssen very often.
Celebrating their wedding there was, as you now can understand, a big wish of this couple.
In the morning, Gerben and I split up so we could both photograph the ‘getting ready’ moments. After that, Marrie’s father drove us to ‘het Mölke’ where the first look would take place. Erik was already waiting with his red pontiac firebird. He was playing with it all week, because the car arrived a week before the wedding.
The photomoments were shot behind the campsite where the river ‘regge’ streams. A beautiful place, with water, greens and lot’s of cows.
Marrie and Erik, relaxed as they were, put on their rainboots and just walked through the very wet grounds. It was amazing!! At that moment the sun even started to shine and warmed up the whole scene. At the end of the shoot, two nieces of the couple arrived. They looked stunning.
After a short lunch with lot’s of rain outside, the weather became friendly again and Erik and Marrie could arrive with the boat as planned. It was so romantic!
The ceremony was very special. Of course by saying ‘I do’ in front of family and friends, but also because their nieces announced their pregnancy!!
In the afternoon we went to the church to ask for God’s blessing.
Back at ‘het Mölke’ it was time for coffee and CAKE! Wow this was a very amazing cake!
Luckily the skies became clear again and we could make the family portrets outsite. We were very happy with that!
And then it was the end of this wedding day for us. In the evening we went back for the first dance and the party getting started.
It was a wonderful closure of our wedding season! Thank you Erik and Marrie!
